Every three years the National Electrical Code® is updated to reflect the newest installation practices utilized by the electrical industry, bringing about hundreds of changes to the code. This course provides attendees with a thorough review of the most significant changes in the 2020 NEC from those that know it best. Michael Johnston
Michael Johnston is NECA’s executive director of standards and safety. Mike holds a BS in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. He served on NEC CMP-5 in the 2002, 2005, and chair of CMP-5 representing NECA for the 2011 NEC cycle. Mike is the Chairman of the NEC Correlating Committee. Among his responsibilities for managing the codes, standards, and safety functions for NECA, Mike is secretary of the NECA Codes and Standards Committee. Johnston is a member of the IBEW and is an active member of ANSI, IAEI, NFPA, ASSE, the NFPA Electrical Section, the UL Electrical Council, and National Safety Council.

James Dollard
Jim is the Safety Coordinator for IBEW Local 98. He also serves on multiple NFPA committees keeping Local 98 on the cutting edge of codes and standards, which affect our industry. These committees include the UL Electrical Council, NFPA 70E, NFPA 90A and the NEC project, the TCC, CMP-13.
Jim is a Master 500 OSHA instructor working diligently to keep out jobsites safer by working with members, signatory contractors, general contractors and OSHA to provide safe and healthful working conditions for all Local 98 members.
