The Business Development Round Table, which is only open to NECA, IBEW and LMCC Business Developers, will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 8-10:00 am in room Reef CF. As most of you know, this is the bookend meeting to the Business Development Conference held at the start of every year. At this meeting, we go around the table and everyone is asked to provide brief highlights (i.e., 5 mins each) of their activities throughout the year and provide feedback on what worked, what didn’t, challenges, opportunities and plans for next year.

  Mir M. Mustafa (Moderator)

  Mir M. Mustafa is Executive Director, Business Development, for the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). Prior to joining NECA, Mir practiced law in Chicago, IL before co-founding and managing an energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainability consulting firm where he served as an advisor to government, corporations, associations, commercial real estate owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.

  At NECA, Mir is responsible for leading and overseeing the development and growth of profitable new markets and increasing penetration of existing markets for electrical contractors.  Mir is Secretary of the NECA Business Development Task Force and sits on the Leadership Council of the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), a board member of the National Lighting Bureau and a steering committee member of the Sustainable Building Coalition.  His areas of responsibility include the NECA Energy Conservation and Performance Platform (ECAP), the NECA Energy Study Mission, the NECA Business Development Conference, the NECA Project Excellence Awards and the NECA Service Network.  Mir works closely with the IBEW Business Development and Construction Departments and over 65 NECA, IBEW, and LMCC business developers nationwide.
