Description

Prefabrication has been a growing trend among electrical contractors and is becoming increasingly important to stay on time, on budget and relevant in local markets. Prefabrication also allows for electrical contractors to realize the tangential benefits of improved safety and coordination with other trades through BIM and standardization. This session will identify characteristics of strategic manufacturer partners and will explain how prefabrication can increase contractor productivity, to identify opportunities that can increase profitability.

  • Bob Crain

    Bob Crain, P.E. is a registered electrical engineer in the state of Illinois with 25 years of experience working for several leading US cable tray manufacturers. Bob is a leading expert on industry standards for the cable tray market. For the past 28 years he has been a member of the NEMA Technical Committee (5CT) and is currently a representative for the North American IEC, focusing on Standard 61537 for cable tray. Over his career, he has lent his expertise to numerous NEC code changes, written articles for industry trade magazines and published many white papers. For the past 13 years, Bob has worked for Legrand/Cablofil in Mascoutah, IL, and currently holds the position of Director of Marketing/Product Development.

  • Kevin Kohl

    Kevin Kohl, M.B.A., holds the position of Product Manager for Legrand North America, responsible for the Commercial segment of the Pass & Seymour product line. He is responsible for many successful products, like PlugTail wiring devices, that serve all major commercial vertical markets, including Healthcare, Education, Hospitality and Commercial Office. Kevin sees a tremendous need for products and services that make an electrical contractor’s business safer, easier, and more efficient.
