Different people may have vastly different approaches to work, their communication styles may be very different, cultural backgrounds and norms can differ. How do you work alongside someone who may be quite different from you, respect those differences and be effective in your role? This session will break down easy to apply steps for working with people not like you with candid discussions and guided facilitation. Come learn how to improve your everyday work processes with realistic and proven strategies for working with different kinds of people in any situation.

In this session you will:

  • Learn why working with different personality types is frustrating – and stressful – and why that makes you normal, but not as effective as you can be
  • Identify specific tactics for how associates can succeed in today’s diverse workplace without losing their minds, getting into hot water by saying the wrong thing, or becoming frustrated by approaches to work that may differ from theirs
  • Discuss five key steps for leaders to make a diverse team work more cohesively, more productively and enjoyably
  • Consider real examples from real life work situations – and not simply what NOT to do – but also what to do and say that moves the business forward without offending anyone or creating conflict
